Surajit Pal - Mentor

Surajit Pal

Surajit Pal is a doctoral researcher at Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, Ploen, Germany, one of the premier institute for pioneering scientific and technological research. His inquiries delve into the existence of significant evolutionary trade-offs between virulence and antibiotic resistance. In the pursuit of understanding the intricacies of life’s tiniest wonders, he realized that knowledge is meant to be shared and embark on a collective voyage of learning and growth.

Anupam Das

Anupam Das the outreach coordinator at The SciComm Synapse calls both ETH Zurich and the University of Bern his academic homes as a graduate student. He is pursuing his doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology. His research interest lies in RNA biology, particularly unravelling the mysteries of a eukaryotic cellular quality control pathway called non-sense mediated RNA decay
(NMD) during aberrant translation termination, thereby preventing the manufacture of faulty proteins that can be toxic to cells. Biking, hiking, and climbing are some of his favorite activities in his free time. In addition to training for Jujutsu (Martial Arts), he is passionate about gardening and cooking. Its no secret that he loves football.

Aashana Tripathi

My name is Aashana Tripathi. PhD student @ Thuringian State Observatory “Karl Schwarzschild” Tautenburg (TLS) and FSU Jena, Germany. I am mainly focusing on Asteroseismology and instrumentation during my work here. I did my Bachelor in Physics from M.S.University, Baroda and my Master from Osmania University, Hyderabad. I did my second master's at the University of Potsdam, Germany in Astrophysics

Vishwaja Jhaveri

I completed my BS-MS in Cell and Molecular Biology from Maharaja Sayajirao University in India after which I worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), India.
Currently, I am pursuing my doctoral studies at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

Understanding the process of protein synthesis has had my loyal interest since university studies and I fortunately continue to work on that in my PhD. Of the many projects, one of my projects is to understand the role of RNA modifications on the most important of molecules of the translation machinary, such as the ribosomal RNA and the transfer RNA.

Dhairya Rajguru- Mentor

Dhairya Rajguru

Currently a Research Scholar at the prestigious Institute of Molecular Medicine and Cell Research, University of Freiburg. Dhairya's research delves into unraveling the intricate molecular mechanisms & dynamics of cell death pathways and their intertwined immune pathways. He completed his M.Sc. in Cell and Molecular Biology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Beyond the research and lab, he is wanderlust, capturing the marvels of nature through birding and street photography.

Dhairya's contemplative spirit gazes into the cosmos, pondering existence, the genesis of life, and the palpable energies shaping our world.
